Core Case Real-World Stacking Test

Long-Term Field Test

In Crixás, Goiás, Brazil, Core Case core boxes have been storing drill core samples for over 12 years.

Throughout this period, the core boxes have been exposed to real operating and storage conditions, including less-than-ideal environments.

Even after more than a decade, they remain structurally sound, functional, and capable of storing and protecting geological samples.

Time as a test

As there is no specific standard for drill core storage boxes, Core Case monitors the performance of its products under real field conditions. The test conducted in Crixás provides tangible evidence:

Over 12 years of storing samples under real, less-than-ideal conditions while maintaining structural integrity and functionality.

– Durability you can see.

– Strength proven over time.

More than an estimated service life, this ongoing field assessment demonstrates how the product performs over time under actual operating conditions.

The assessment focuses on four key factors:

Individual Load Resistance
The ability of each core box to withstand the weight of geological samples during handling and use.

Stacking Resistance
The structural performance of core boxes under accumulated loads during extended storage periods.

Durability
The preservation of structural integrity and functionality after more than 12 years under real-world conditions.

Weather Resistance
The performance of core boxes when exposed to temperature fluctuations and changing weather conditions throughout their service life.

Ideal Storage Conditions

The conditions observed during this test do not represent ideal storage conditions. Under proper conditions, with level surfaces, covered storage areas, and protection from the elements, Core Case core boxes are expected to perform even better, maintaining their structural integrity and functionality for longer.

Beyond durability, the system also contributes to a more organized, safer, and more ergonomic operation, making handling, stacking, and access to geological samples easier over time.

Además de las pruebas realizadas con la materia prima en Core Case LAB, la empresa complementa sus evaluaciones con ensayos y validaciones de productos realizados en laboratorios acreditados, reforzando el control de calidad y la verificación de su desempeño.
